Nancy Gay Neely Sims, 82, of Lamar, MS, passed from this life Thursday, Novemver 27th in Collierville, TN. She was born October 29, 1932 in Charleston, MS to the late Benton and Lydia Neely. Mrs. Sims is survived by her husband, James Harold Sims, 3 daughters; Neely Battle, Stacy Rochester (Richard), Nan Henderson (Jeff), 7 grandchildren; Lauren, Preston, Austin, John, Rachel, Drew and Neely. Funeral services will be 3pm Sunday, November 30th at the Slayden Baptist Church in Slayden, MS where she was a member. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 2pm. Burial will be 2pm Monday in the Charleston City Cemetery in Charleston, MS. Memorials can be made to Slayden Baptist Church, Lottie Moon Christmas Fund or Samaritans’ Purse.
