Paul and I worked together at Babcock and Wilcox in Barberton, Ohio.  We became good friends and played flag football most Saturdays.  This was a passion of his.  I then went to The Roadway companies and Paul followed soon after.  FedEx Services bought us and we both ended up in Collierville. 
I came back to Ohio in 2004.  Paul always talked about his family.  I am so saddened by his death and your loss.  

I met Paul after being hired at FedEx in 1994.  Our work relationship morphed into a long personal friendship between both our families.  Paul used a lot of euphemisms in his speech.  He coined a simple phrase of "entertainment value" to describe situations that might go awry - we still  use that phrase and attribute it to him.   We shared time riding at the motocross  track with him where my husband, Ron, earned the nickname "the man".   (A sport Tricia tolerated that I am forever grateful for.)   I will always   associate the Metallica song 'whiskey in a jar' with Paul (for his heavy metal fetish) but I never had the opportunity to jam on the guitar with him.    Our long-distance conversations covered topics of family, work, retirement, health, pets, home improvements -  anything could be broached.  Our relationship was fun, honest and mutually fulfilling.  I will miss him terribly.

Our family was blessed to have moved in next door to Paul and Trisha just over 2 years ago and feel like we have known both for years.  It was almost always a guarantee that any time I went outside Paul was out there in the yard doing something.  Paul was quick to wave and give me a big smile.  Many of quick hello neighbor conversations turned into a 30-45 minute talk out in the driveway, always leaving me laughing and memories I will cherish.

Also, I have many memories of how much you talked about Patrick and his love of soccer.  Not to mention what new project you had going on in the house or planning for.

Leigh Anne, Lawson, Sloane and I have cherished the past 2 years being your neighbor and friend.  You will be missed!

As a long time friend and fellow classmate, I'm going to miss you buddy.  I remember we did crazy things growing up. Your dad would get mad at us 4-wheeling in the mud with the lawn tractors.  I remember splashing your grandpa while he tried to sleep along side the pool.  I remember you always detailing the  car as far as wiping the part numbers off the components.  I will always remember working at Zantiago's and eating all the free food and especially working with  Chris,. Bob & Trisha where you met and finally married.  I remember the  long trips to Akron to visit.  I remember our first year in college and all our friends hanging out at your apartment above the funeral home laughing and having fun.  I'll always remember your parents telling you, you need to move back to Louisiana to finish school.  So I rode with you for 16 hours in that 68 mustang and we got lost because you couldn"t remember the directions.  I pray someday we all meet again with better directions.  A special condolence to Trisha, Patrick and your families.  You'll be greatly missed.  Your friend Tom Messerly

As a longtime friend and neighbor, there are two things I can always count on with Paul.  First, his love and care of his cars, and second, his care for his lawn.  Paul was meticulous and regardless of the weather he was grooming that lawn.   Raking, cutting, trimming, blowing... there was no stop in Paul.   What a super guy.

I will miss those talks (mostly laughs) about his lawn.

Paul and I met in 1992, working in support for one of the Roadway companies. We hit it off immediately and thus begun not only a good working relationship but a personal friendship as well.  When we became a part of the FedEx companies, nothing was lost. Paul, as my manager, had a
a gift with people. He was engaging, had a great sense of humor, and a trust
which was both given and earned. While working for him, he was a strong advocate for the software testing process and I think we broke new ground together developing procedures and plans to insure the release of error-free software for the FedEx companies. As a manager, he got it right. He trusted you to do your job and held you accountable. Our working relationship couldn't have been better.
Our friendship grew as the years went by. We would get together every once in a while at his home in North Canton, and at his home in Collierville,
where he was proud to share and talk about Trish and Patrick and their life there, a loving and caring family man to the bone. We ate barbecue together and talked about possibly getting together whenever he and Trish came to Ohio to visit family. 
To Trish, Patrick, and the Dwyer family, I send my deepest condolences. Paul will always be with me.
