September 9, 1941 – August 11, 2025
Richard Clark Moore, 83, of Byhalia, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025, in Southaven, Mississippi. Born in Collierville, Tennessee, Richard lived a full and humble life marked by hard work, quiet wisdom, and a deep love for his family.
Richard was a man of few words, but when he spoke, his family and friends listened. His life was filled with simple joys — tinkering with small engines in his shop, reading his Bible daily, working through word searches, and enjoying the comfort of a plate of fried catfish. He had a passion for coaching softball, attending car shows, and investing his time and heart into those he loved.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Sarah Moore; his children, Alex Moore and Becky Rooker; his niece and honorary child, Angie Garcia, his grandchildren, Ashley Rogers, Blake Whitten, Allee Moore, and Lyndzee Rooker; and his great-grandchildren, Colin Whitten, Harper Pillow, Laelynn Rooker-Hartman, and Loren Ginet. Richard’s big heart and steadfast presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held at Collierville Funeral Home on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., followed immediately by the funeral service.
Richard’s life was a testament to quiet strength, enduring faith, and love that ran deep — qualities that will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
