Richard (Dick) Leroy Morris, 75 of Piperton, TN passed away on July 9, 2022 at the Arbors of Schilling Gardens Memory Care in Collierville, TN. Born on October 18, 1946 in Galesburg, IL, he was the son of the late Oren Leroy Morris and Dorothy Hallberg Morris.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Donna Geer Morris, two sons, Brian Morris (Buffy) of Arlington TN and Todd Morris (Erika) of Knoxville TN.
He also has five grandchildren - Peyton, Hailey, Harper, Leighton, and Oliver Morris.
Dick was a graduate of Bradley University with a degree in mechanical engineering. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and achieved the rank of Commander. Over a 38 year career, he worked in small engine and carburetor design and held multiple patents.
Outside of his family and career, Dick’s true passion was building and racing classic cars. He loved car shows and drag racing. He was a charter member of Limited Rods of Western Illinois and a member of Streetiques of Memphis.

Dick will receive a military burial service. It will begin at 10:00am at the Rotunda located at the Cemetery.
