Sarah Elizabeth (Liz) Hopkins Owens, 75 of Milton, FL was called home by our Heavenly Father on Sunday, December 18, 2011. Liz was born in Somerville, Tennessee on February 11, 1936.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years Louis Ray Owens, her four children, Jerry E.Owens of Deatsville, AL, Terry R. Owens (Dina) of Alpharetta, GA,Cheri E. Murray of New Orleans, LA, Kerri Y. Grant (Shane) of Crestview, FL, her four grandchildren Haley Williamson, Gracie Grant , Connor & Carly Murray , her sister Alma Free of Collierville, TN, her niece Judy Miller of Collierville, TN, and nephew, Dale Free of Collierville, TN.

During the years she spent in Collierville & Memphis Liz befriended Elvis Presley and the two friends spent time together. Liz and her family lived in many areas of the United States while her husband was stationed in the U.S. Navy. Liz loved to read her bible and enjoyed bird watching, especially the red cardinals. She will be missed by her family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 27, 2011, from 1-2pm at Collierville Funeral Home with a service to follow at 2pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery
