My sincere condolences to the entire family. What a beautiful tribute to a special man who I'm sure will be missed by many. Praying that all the wonderful memories he's created with his family and friends will help in his loss.

To my Uncle Bruce who taught me to play golf when I was 14 and who always would be there for me if I needed advise on anything.  I will truly miss his funny presence at any family gathering.  I hope you rest in peace Uncle Bruce and I love you.

This still doesn't feel real. Uncle Bruce, you were and are a hero to so many who knew and loved you. We all have been reminiscing and going through old pictures and it made me really realize how lucky we were to have an Uncle Bruce in our lives. When we were little I remember all we had to do was hear the noise of a motorcycle and we knew Uncle Bruce was coming! You had such a big heart and were always up for being silly with us kids. When we started playing sports, you supported all of us by coming to our games and "cheering" in the typical Ferguson fashion. You were always such a presence. Your loyalty and love helped shape our family and I'm grateful for that. It hurts to know I won't see you again but I'm thinking about you every day. I hope you are finally at peace. Until we meet again. Love you Uncle Bruce.

To my godfather,
When I was born my parents put my life in your hands by making you my god father. At first, I never truly understood what being a god parent meant. When I was younger I thought it was all about getting more money from you at Christmas! It wasn't until looking through recent pictures that the memories started to flow through. Like the time you let me watch my first scary movie (the shining) telling me it was such a good one, and I slept in my parents bed for awhile. When you would walk to our garage, wave, hop on your motocycle and ride away while I stood watching at the back door. My favorite memory was when you watched me make a wish and blow out all the candles on my birthday. You were always there for me no matter what. These memories show your heart, courage, craziness, and most importantly your love for me. I hope one day I can be an amazing god parent as you were. The last few years we lost touch from each other that I will regret for the rest of my life, but I will never forget the amazing days/memories I had with you. I think of you everyday since you have left us. My heart has become empty without you. I will miss you and love you forever. Tell mom mom I say hi. Hopefully she hit you across the head a couple times!

Bruce and I met when we were 14 years old, Collingswood Junior High School, a friendship that grew as the years passed by, especially after his return from Vietnam.  
Over the years Bruce and I had many conversations about many things but we always ended up reminiscing about our carefree days of youth, especially Collingswood Jr/Senior High.  School dances, pep-rallies and the great sports teams were his favorites of memories.  He never failed to inquire about his high school friends, especially his baseball buddies.  He was genuinely happy to hear about everyone and always ended his conversations with God bless them all.'
Bruce was a very selfless person with a big heart, always ready to help someone in need, asking for no recognition for his generosity.  He would send a donation for our high school reunion(s) to make sure a classmate who financially couldn't attend would get the chance to do so.  He never missed an opportunity to contribute throughout the years to the many CHS '67 fund-raising events that popped up, the Leary/Sohanchak Scholarship Fund, and different walkathons he knew I was involved in.  
Bruce loved his family and he loved children. He talked about his son and his nieces and nephews often.  When he heard my 2 baby grandsons were diagnosed with a terminal disease, he helped me through many sad days with his support, words of encouragement and prayers.  He never met my daughter but sent her a donation to help with mounting medical bills.   
Bruce was a wonderful person.  If he knew you needed help, he was there for you, no questions askedand it didn't matter to him that he might not even know the person he was helping. Bruce gave from the heart -- he gave because he cared  and he didn't ask for anything in return.  
Bruce leaves behind a meaningful legacyone of love, generosity and genuine concern for othersa legacy that will live on in my heart and in the hearts of others whose lives he touched.
Thank you, Bruce, for your friendship of 53 years.  I will truly miss you and our talks.  Enjoy your next life to the fullest, finally at peace and pain free. xo

I first met my cousin Bruce when I was 4 and he was 14.  He was so kind to me and played games with me, and I felt he was a hero.  Decades later I think of him as a Good Shepherd who gave his all.

Bruce will be greatly missed because he was such a wonderful person.  We were lucky to know him and hold him in our hearts forever.  I especially admired Bruce for standing up for what he believed in and going up against the coach who wanted him to cut his beautiful hair!

Bruce was always one of my favorites in high school. He was always funny and kind to everyone. My favorite memory of him was his Beatles haircut and Nehru jacket that he wore so well. I will never forget his joking with me in the halls as we passed going to class. You will never bee forgotten, Bruce. Rest in Peace and God bless you. My sympathies and prayers go out to Bruce's family.  So sad to lose another classmate from our Collingswood Class of '67.

I met Bruce in ninth grade. He welcomed me my first day. It always made me feel like I belonged there all the while. He was a quiet and strong person. Rest peacefully.

May Bruce Rest In Peace. I pray that all who loved him receive the strength, peace and comfort through this challenging time.

I always admired my Brother in Law Bruce.  I found him highly intelligent and easy to talk to.  I had hoped he would move to Florida and find new beginnings.  He will be missed. Phil Martin
