Charlotte E. Altman passed away peacefully April 28th, 2018 at age 77 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her beloved granddaughter Jacqueline Coll, children Gail, John III, Sgt. David, William, Cindy, Patricia Lee, Mark and Marie, 19 grandchildren, 26 great grand-children, brother Harvey Chappell and many nieces and nephews.
Charlotte was known as the matriarch in her family; the back-bone that held everyone together. She was extremely kind-hearted, loving and generous with her time and resources with family and those in need. She was the unofficial family seamstress, often weaving garments for her children and grand-children for special occasions. She loved to cook, spend time with her children and grandchildren; especially at “Cowtown” rodeo in Woodstown during the weekends while visiting family nearby. Attending church was also a large part of her life. Charlotte was a true reflection of her strong Christian faith exhibited by her selfless, nurturing compassion she bestowed upon anyone in need.
Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Visitation at BLAKE-DOYLE Funeral Home 226 W. Collings Ave, Collingswood NJ on Friday May 4, 2018 at 11:00am-1:00pm with a Prayer Service to immediately follow at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family lovingly suggests donations to be made in Charlotte’s honor to the American Diabetes Association by clicking the DONATE NOW button found on Diabetes.org.
