David R Hughes

He was the beloved husband for 74 years to the late Mary A. Hughes (nee Oris).

David was a devoted father to Marie H. “Kay” Bryant & her husband, John of Collingswood.

An adoring grandfather to David H. (Janine) Bryant of Audubon, PA & Mary A. (Michael) Saporito of West Chester, PA

and great grandfather to Noah J. Bryant & Nathanael D. Bryant.

After studying Engineering at Drexel Uv., Mr. Hughes operated the family grocery store in Mt. Carmel, PA untill the close of WW II.

David was a Meat Manager for Penn Fruit Stores for 30 years, retiring in 1979.

He was an active volunteer and a member of the Holy Name Society at St. Joseph’s Church,

Mr. Hughes & his late wife resided in Collingswood over half a century.

His Viewing & Funeral will be, Wednesday 9 AM at BLAKE-DOYLE FUNERAL HOME,

226 Collings Ave., Collingswood.

Funeral MASS 11 AM in St. Joseph’s Church, 1010 Liberty St., Camden.

Interment beside his beloved wife in Harleigh Cemetery, Haddon Avenue, Camden, NJ.
