Denise passed November 11, 2017. Beloved wife of Carl D. Peters for 35 years. Devoted mother of Dora Kerney and son-in-law Eric Kerney. Dear sister of Darlene Marks and Roberta Thomas. Loving grandmother of Benjamin Kerney.
Denise was born and raised in Louisville, KY. She earned a Master’s degree in English Literature from the University of Louisville. She moved to NJ in 1982 when she married Carl. Denise was very intelligent. She had a passion for teaching. Denise was warm, caring and compassionate. She had a gift for talking. She will be missed.
Family and friends are invited to the viewing on Thursday November 16, 6:00 – 8:00 pm at BLAKE-DOYLE Funeral Home 226 W. Collings Avenue, Collingswood, NJ 08108. A Funeral mass will be celebrated Friday November 17, 10:30 am at St. John's Church, St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, 809 Park Avenue Collingswood, NJ. Interment to follow in Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.
