

Osvaldo "Sal" Salvatore, 71, passed away suddenly on February 22, 2026, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Born on August 17, 1954, in Termoli, Province of Campobasso, Italy, Sal lived a life surrounded by the love of family and friends.
Sal was the beloved husband of Joyce Salvatore and a loving stepfather to Elizabeth Rodier (Matthew) and Christopher Donohue, Jr. (Ashley) and proud Nonno to Jaxon, Madeline, Sloane, and Cara. Sal is also survived by his sisters, Flavia Abisaleh (Ralph) and Clementina Bucciarelli (Guido), as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, close friends, and "framily" who held him dear. He was predeceased by his parents, Luigi and Maria Salvatore, and his brother Carlo Salvatore.
Sal worked as a police photographer for the City of Philadelphia before retiring. His passion for photography extended beyond his career as he enjoyed capturing life's moments through his lens.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation on March 27, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Blake-Doyle Funeral Home, 226 West Collings Ave. Collingswood, NJ 08108, followed by a memorial service at 11:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sal's honor to DaVita Dialysis Center.
