

friend passed away peacefully on April 6, 2020 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was
born in Raywood, Texas 26 November 1929 to the late Soesthan and Dorena Donatto.
Alex graduated high school in 1948 and joined the United States Air Force. He was
stationed in Germany and helped support the Berlin Airlift. On 9 July 1953, he married
the love of his life, Theresa (Tea) Conant Donatto. They lived in Illinois, California,
South Dakota, Alaska and finally Colorado where Alex retired from the Air Force in
1969.
Alex and Tea loved to travel, especially their numerous road trips from California to
Maine to visit family and friends. They loved to go camping and fishing when ever they
could. They loved taking short drives on weekends. They loved hosting many dinner
parties with their many friends. They loved their Chapel Family on Peterson AFB.
Alex was preceded in death by his Mom and Dad, Brothers Patrick Donatto, Michael
Donatto, Murphy Donatto, and Sisters Belle Donatto and Grace Donatto. He was also
preceded in death by his wife, Theresa Donatto, his son Patrick J. (Mary) Donatto, and 2 infant
boys and 1 infant daughter.
Alex was survived by his brother, Jerry Donatto, his son David and Penni Donatto, his
daughter Arlene and Jim Roberge and daughter-in law Yolanda Donatto. He was survived by his Grandson’s Dean Donatto, Aaron and Brittany Donatto, James and Megan Roberge. He was survived by his Grandaughter’s Nicole Donatto, Stephanie and Chris Delcourt, Julie and Joel Charbonneau. He also has 15 Great Grand Children. Uncle Chester was the favorite uncle of many nephews and nieces and a great friend to all that knew him. A special thank you to the Staff at Winslow Court for all of the wonderful care that you provided to Alex these last two years. Especially the good food that dad would nevermiss. Also a heartfelt thank you to the Renal Ward at Memorial Hospital for the loving
and compassionate care that the staff gave dad.
