Beloved Mother, Daughter, Sister, and Nana
Amber went to be with the Lord on the Morning of March 10th, 2024.
Amber Alexander was born on May 12th, 1976, to parents Lolli and Troy Alexander in Houston, TX. Lolli was remarried to Kim Sheldon of Colorado.
The oldest of three children, Amber grew up in a loving household…mostly tormenting her two brothers Aaron and Adam. As an early teen, Amber’s father Troy had a child, introducing the siblings to Alisha Alexander, giving Amber a sister to the Alexander Clan. Amber was also very close to cousins Matthew and Polly Lambert who grew up under the same roof in various points; considered pseudo siblings.
Amber always enjoyed playing sports as a child and teen. She participated in softball and basketball and joined the choir at North Shore High School where she graduated with Honors in 1994. Shortly after high school, Amber studied some college courses and went into the home lending and mortgage field, learning from her Aunt Julia which ended up being her career. Amber excelled in her position, eventually rising in the ranks to EVP of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. Amber moved to Colorado Springs, CO in her early 20s with her parents and fell in love with the mountains and made it her home.
Amber loved to crab and fish passionately. She also enjoyed the drive up to Cripple Creek to hit that elusive jackpot, or just lounged around watching cooking shows to steal the recipes and make her family the guinea pigs when she tried to prepare them! But what Amber enjoyed the most was spoiling those around her, her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and even her dog. Amber also donated to St. Judes Hospital every month like clockwork.
Amber is survived by her mother Lolli Sheldon and father Kim Sheldon of Colorado, her children Anthony Alexander his spouse Missy Clotfelter of Colorado, and Bonnie Alexander of Tennessee, brother Aaron Alexander of Colorado, brother Adam Alexander and Spouse Hannah McCarty of Colorado, sister Alisha and Jason Conover of Texas, grandson Percy Clotfelter of Colorado, as well as many cousins, aunts and uncles in Texas, West Virginia, Kansas, and Colorado.
Amber was a genuine soul, and we are grateful for and cherish the time we had with her. It's not goodbye but see you later.
Memorial Services held on Saturday, March 16th at 1 p.m. at Envoy Church 2025 N. Murray Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80915.
