

Angela Stover Beatty, passed away in Pueblo, Colorado, October 9, 2017. Angela was born in Tioga, Colorado to Emilio and Tomasita (Espinoza) Maes. Preceded in passing by her 9 siblings, her parents and special niece, Ramona Ohlin.
Raised in Walsenburg, CO., she devoted herself as a young woman caring for her mother and nurturing her brother Herbie. Angie began her career as a legal secretary in Walsenburg. She was a legal secretary in Colorado Springs for 20 years until she retired to travel with her first husband, Joyce “Smokey” Stover. She and Smokey spent 15 great years together until he passed in 1987. Angela resumed her career for the next three years until she met her best friend and favorite dance partner, Willard Beatty. They married in 1992 and spent the next 19 years traveling the U.S. taking time to find the best places to dance the night away, until he passed in 2011.
Angela volunteered at Marian House, Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Penrose Hospital until she moved to Pueblo in 2013. She is survived by brother Herbert (Rosalie) Maes of Pueblo, many nieces and nephews including loving caregivers Robert (Cathy) Maes, and Darlene (Robert) Navarro of Pueblo.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 27, 2017 with a Rosary at 11:00 a.m., and mass to follow at St. Paul Catholic Church 9 El Pomar Rd, Colorado Springs, CO. 80906 with a reception to follow. Angela will be laid to rest at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
