Anika Jade Morris

Anika was born May 29, 2002 in Colorado Springs, CO to Matthew Morris and Kimbrough Wile. Raised in Colorado Springs with her older brother Ben, she graduated from Air Academy High School in 2020 where she loved singing in the choir and was just beginning to discover her path and purpose.

Anika was known for her caring heart - she would do anything for the people she loved. Loyal and generous, she was always there for her friends and family, especially her cherished nephews, with whom she loved spending time. Her strength, humor, and sense of adventure made a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. Anika had a wide range of interests and was constantly exploring new passions. She was an avid horror movie fan, a budding artist, and a lover of books and live music with her first concert being Hollywood Undead. In recent years, she became a dedicated gamer, earning recognition and a strong following in the Call of Duty community.

Though she was allergic to nearly everything, Anika never let that hold her back. She was determined to live life fully, embracing every experience and challenge that came her way. Anika had just moved into her first home with her boyfriend, Kevin Watson, and the two were building a life together - one rooted in love and shared dreams.

Preceded in death by her grandmothers Connie Morris in 2011 and Brenda Wile just this March, she is survived by her parents Matthew and Kimbrough Morris; her brother Benjamin Morris and his wife Tara; her beloved nephews Jensen and Daxton Morris; her uncles Larry Wile and Zachary Morris; her grandfather David Wile; and a large extended family.

Anika’s light, love, and bold spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. She is deeply loved and greatly missed.

Visitation will be held at Chapel of Memories, 829 South Hancock, Colorado Springs, CO 80903 on Friday June 13, 2025 from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. A committal service will follow at 12:30 pm at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expressway, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
