It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Anne Paju Oaks, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, on December 6, 2025. Anne was born August 30, 1941 in Rakvere, Estonia to parents Edgar and Marta Paju.
Anne graduated from Poughkeepsie High School in New York in 1961. She received her RN Degree in Nursing from Roosevelt Hospital in New York City. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Colorado Boulder.
Anne had a 40-year career in nursing from hospital pediatrics to school nurse at Harrison School District. Over her time, she worked at various hospitals, including Public Health, Penrose, St. Francis, and Fort Carson.
In addition to her parents, Anne was preceded in death by her sister, Reet, and daughter, Kristi. She is survived by her husband, Milton Harold, her son Scott, her grandson, Ashton and daughter-in-law, Theresa.
Anne was an avid runner, skier, and reader. She had a great love of animals and nature. Garden flowers and fresh-cut flowers gave her great joy. A nice glass of wine, a good book, and a cat in her lap gave her complete satisfaction.
She had a vibrant personality – happy, fun, caring, and loving. She was always smiling or laughing – often at her own jokes because she loved to make others smile and laugh with her. She will be remembered and loved forever. She was our sunshine!
