Annie Gerardo

Annie Gerardo, age 87, went to be with our Lord surrounded by her loving family on August 16, 2018. She was born on December 3rd, 1930 in Boncarbo, Colorado. She was married to Louis Gerardo, her beloved husband, for over 62 years.

Annie loved being with her family, fishing, cooking, and gardening. She always welcomed family and friends with open arms and made sure everyone was well fed; she made the best green chili and spaghetti! We will truly miss her and her wisdom.

She is survived by her husband, Louis Gerardo, children, Daryl (Teresa) Gerardo, Valerie Trujillo, Anita (+Ruben) Melendez, Brian (Charlotte) Bowman, 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, sister Rose Gomez, her brother Louie Bowman, and many adored nieces and nephews. Annie was preceded in death by her parents, Alejandro and Eralia (Trujillo) Bowman, sister Eva Maldonado, brother Pete Bowman, and grandson Damacio Trujillo.

Viewing is scheduled for Friday, August 24th, from 3:00-5:00pm at Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs. Funeral Mass to be held at Saturday, August 25th, 10:00 am at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2318 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs. A graveside service will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
