It's been two years my sweet, sweet boy.  I miss you so much and think about you often.  I hope you are at peace, pain free and happy!  Can't wait to reunite with you some day - until then I love and miss you my son.  RIP Anthony.

Oh Anthony I love you so much. I’ll never forget our time we spent living in my apartment. You always cleaned the place up without me asking and I never had to clean because you always did it. I remember we would eat Salmon, Mac and cheese, and chicken Alfredo. You would always call me a chef. You would always volunteer to do the grocery shopping or grab chick fil a from across the street. You always looked out for me ever since we were kids. Always sending me weather alerts and just being a great big brother. A phone call from you always consisted about you asking about my kids and your two nephews. I still remember when I was kid maybe 10 years old I was playing basketball at the YMCA and these older kids took out court. I told them to leave or I would get my big brother. They laughed it off. I went to the gym to get you and you chased them off the court. They never messed with us again.  You will be greatly missed and never forgotten. Love you, your little brother Kevin. 

Although I never met you Anthony, I have heard about all the love and caring you had in your heart for others.  Your father Jose had told me about you and your love and caring for others.  My daughter Elizabeth also shared wonderful moments she had with you as well.  My granddaughter Raena also shared happy times with you, thanks for a friendship with her.

You now have gone to be with our Father in heaven who will now care, guide and protect you.

The world just got a little darker without your beautiful light, cousin. I wish we had more time but in your 37 years of life you graced us with so much love. I’ll miss your smile, your monthly check-ins, your kind soul, your goofy laugh, and your desire to help and take care of those around you even when you needed it the most.

Family and friend gatherings were everything to my son Anthony.  He truly treasured and looked forward to these.  In fact, just about every conversation we had ended with his wish and eagerness for the next one ...

To honor Anthony's wishes, the next gathering of family and friends will be scheduled this Spring, to celebrate Anthony's life.  It will take place after Anthony's full military burial at Pikes Peak National Cemetary.  I will post and communicate details as we draw near, and do hope all of you can make it and share stories of how Anthony impacted your lives as he has mine and my family's. 

I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and affection all of you have shared for my son and sincerely thank each and everyone of you for blessing Anthony with your love and lifelong friendship. 




I can’t believe you’re really gone…  I’ll  remember  when I was a young girl you always knew how to make me laugh when I wasn’t having a good day. I’ll remember when my brother joked that the poem you got tattooed on your forearm was a recipe because you didn’t want to forget it and you played along with it just to make all of us laugh. But most of all I’ll remember the kind thoughtful heart you had, always asking about me and my sister all these years though we haven’t seen you or spoken to you. I always thought we would have more time, but I’m sorry I didn’t reach out sooner. Thank you for being another brotherly figure in my life and for making every memory I have with you a happy one. Rest in peace Anthony, I’ll see you again Brother💕

Anthony came into my life as a young man and he taught me not only how to make the best chicken wings ever, he showed me the ever-changing world through his eyes, year after year. I loved Anthony like one of my children and am so sad that he is gone, but I believe his spirit will always be with us, guiding us to be better people-tolerant, patient, accepting and most of all kind to one another. There was a time when Anthony was living with us for a period of time. After school I would come home and watch tv. After a while, Anthony started to join me and watch whatever I was watching whether that be an animated movie, old Disney show, or trashy reality tv. It started to become a routine of ours; Come home, turn on the tv, and not even 30 minutes later Anthony would join in. “Hey, how was school?” He’d ask as he sat down. I really enjoyed his company and having someone to hang out with. I was always surprised that he wanted to hear about my day, but that’s just the type of person he was. May he rest in peace<3

Anthony.   We celebrate YOU!  Our hearts are sad for your early departure, but we can envision you soaring in heaven.  You touched hearts and expressed care to others, you walked this earth with the intentions of goodness and kindness.   Love to all who remain and feel  great sadness and pain. I've lost my sweet, sweet boy and my family's guardian angel.  Anthony's last few texts were to his brothers and sister to share a severe weather alert for CoSpgs - you see, this was Anthony. Always way more concerned about the safety and welfare of others, demonstrating his unmatched love for his family and loved ones.  He was also the ultimate giver, extending and sharing the love from his huge heart to anyone he came in contact with.  In your short 37 years you left a legacy of genuine love you spread to everyone you interacted with.  My son,  I shall dearly miss our weekly calls with your standard "Hey Pop, how are you?" intro.  Waiting to reunite with you someday my sweet boy ... Rest in peace my son, until we see each other again.

Anthony was a gentle giant. This is how I will always remember him - his deep love of family, soft-spoken gentleness, and a beautiful, genuine smile. We will miss him greatly and will cherish our time with him forever. Love you, young man.
