I was the captain of Tony's wrestling team at Kubasaki High School. He was a great wrestler: very quick and technically precise. I enjoyed watching his matches. I also remember Mr. Pacheco always being there to watch Tony's matches. I think (my memory may be hazy on this) Mr. Pacheco was even at the Far East Tournament in Yokosuka. Despite it being over 30 year, whenever I think of Pacheco, I see his big smile and his big grin. I do remember one time slapping his face (sorry!), which I still sort of feel bad about. He was upset about it, but we got along fine, so I think everything was cool. After I left high school (I was the upperclassman), I had heard he dominated the Far East Wrestling Tournament in his senior year, earning the Far East Most Outstanding Wrestler's Award. I heard about this from wrestlers from other high school (i.e., Zama, St. Mary's, Yokosuka), which made me very proud to have been on the same team as him. My deepest Condolences to Mr. And Mrs. Pacheco, and all of Tony's family,

KIM DOUGLAS

I had the pleasure of working with Tony at Liberty Toyota. He always shared his smile with everyone he spoke to. I will truly miss seeing him.....He always made my day seeing me!!! I'm truly sorry for your loss, my thoughts and prayers are with his family. He's looking down on all of you, still with that smile on his face.

I will never ever forget this amazing sweet caring man. I’m extremely proud of my siblings. Meeting Tony is one of my favorite moments in my life. It was important and meant so much to me to get to know him. I’m beyond grateful that I did. Through him I have seen pure love, loyalty and faith. He was so honest and funny. There when you needed him and made sure I was good. I grew to be very fond of him. We didn’t talk every day but we both reached out to make sure everything was ok. I appreciated that more than I can explain. I love him so much. His smile is contagious and real. Never a dull moment with him. I will be there for his family like he was there for me. 💖 Rest easy big brother.... 🤘🏽💞

Tony P. You were one of the first people to welcome my son Joseph and I to Colorado. You were always there for my son if he needed a man to talk to. We had many great laughs. I loved eating your grilled steaks when we played poker at Rileas and eating our steamed shrimp. I’m glad my two youngest also got to meet you and see your radiant smile. You will be missed greatly. Thank you for the encouraging words you always had for me and all the great memories. Rest In Peace and watch over us all .

Toby and Mel, I'm so sorry to hear about Tony. I can't imagine the pain your experiencing. It's hard for me to believe because I can only see him in my mind as he was in Okinawa, young , lean and athletic. He was such a handsome kid taking care of Michelle like she was his sister, which in a way I guess she was. We will be praying for you, your family and his.

Tony will always own a place in my heart. I will never forget all the times we went to Pro. Wrestling matches when you were little, you were brave enough to walk up to Andre the Giant ! He wouldn’t sign his autograph for any other kid but you! You were an awesome kid and an amazing man! I don’t think I ever saw you without a giant smile on your face. I will always remember you that way. Rest well my Gentle Giant! Until we meet again. ❤️
