Al was born October 15, 1931 in Flushing, New York to Winifred and Arnold Martinelli, Sr.
Al was a mail-handler for the United States Postal Service for over 20 years. Al's career began in New York before moving his family to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1976.
Al was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed a wide variety of sports, movies, decorating for any and all holidays and most of all spending time with his family. Al coached little league baseball for a number of years when Steve was younger. He could often be found at a local field playing baseball with his grandchildren, Christopher and Laura, or at an ice rink watching his two favorite goalies: Steve and Laura. Al was always up for a trip whether it was to Canada for some father and son time, a family vacation or simply a trip to a local store to pick out a cart full of candy and sweets.
Al is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mae (Petrizzi) Martinelli, his children, Anne Marie (Ed) Kaskewicz and Stephen (Shawna) Martinelli, grandchildren, Christopher John Carusone (long time girlfriend Audrey Darovich) and Laura Anne Chittum and all of Colorado Springs.
Al was preceded in death by his mother, Winifred (Nonnemacher) Martinelli, his father, Arnold Frank Martinelli Sr., and his sister, Marilyn Maniscolo all of New York.
