Barbara Anne Borden

She was born May 29, 1927 in Colorado Springs to Robert A. Lee and Marie L. Dotson.

She married Howard O. Borden on August 1, 1947. Howard and Barbara raised their family on Colorado Springs’ Westside.

She was a loving wife and mother. She unselfishly volunteered and served at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Barbara had a loving heart and lived her faith in everything she said and did. Barbara was a very talented artist, china painter, and an excellent seamstress. She enjoyed making crafts, traveling, and camping.

Barbara is survived by five children, Charles L. Borden of Colorado Springs, Stephen L. Borden (Linda) of Casper, Wyoming, Mary C. Swan (Glenn) of Colorado Springs, Carl W. Borden (Paula) of Pueblo, Colorado and Martha A. Kramer of Colorado Springs, 14 grandchildren, 28 great grand children, and 1 great great grandchild, siblings Donald Lee (Mary Ann) of Colorado Springs and Roger Lee (Mary Ann) of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Her husband Howard, son Paul, sister Catherine Sikole, Brother Robert Lee, and her parents preceded her in death.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church – 2030 W. Colorado Ave., Colorado Springs, at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 7th.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Evercare Hospice.
