Barbara Jean (Beck) Difiore

Barbara was born January 8, 1938, in Los Angeles, CA, to Virgil and Shirley Beck. Barbara was their only child. She spoke often of how much she enjoyed spending summers in Bakersfield with her aunt on the farm.

During Jr. High School, Barbara met Joseph DiFiore. While still dating, Joe became part of the family, including joining them on family road trips. At the tender age of 16, Barbara married Joe on July 23, 1954, in Los Angeles, CA. Together they had three children: a son, Michael, who passed at the age of two; and two daughters, Debbie and Joanne.

They raised their young family in Agoura, CA, then moved to Big Bear Lake, CA. As a young family, they enjoyed riding dirt bikes in the CA deserts with the Conejo Trail Riders motorcycle club. After Joe’s retirement, they enjoyed traveling the United States in their motorhome, visiting family, friends, and many interesting landmarks along the way. They eventually moved to Los Angeles to care for Joe’s aging parents, and then to Sun City, Arizona where they were

actively involved with a softball club. After Joe’s passing, Barbara moved to Colorado Springs to be closer to her daughter, Joanne.

Barbara is survived by her two daughters: Debbie Clemens and Joanne Johnson; (8) Grandchildren: Donna, Michelle, Melissa, & Joe (from Debbie); Brad, Shayna, Alex, & Karl (from Joanne); (10+) Great-Grandchildren: Cody & Jared (from Donna); Emma & Addison (from Michelle); Madison & Colton (from Melissa); Emma, Joe, & John (from Joe); Caledon & one on the way (from Shayna).

Barbara is preceded in passing by her beloved husband Joe of 57 years in December 2011.

A Celebration of Life was held at 3:00 pm on Friday, April 03, at Summit Glen Senior Retirement Living, in Colorado Springs, CO.
