Barbara Jean Lawson

Mrs. Barbara J. Lawson was reunited with her husband of 48 years, Sherwood (Woody) Lawson on July 10, 2015. Barbara was born on December 26, 1944 in Montgomery County, VA to Jeff and Fannie Nolley. Barbara was employed by the Rampart Lodge at the Air Force Academy for 33 years. She enjoyed bingo, camping at Eleven Mile, Cripple Creek and walking.

Barbara is survived by three sons, Ronald and wife, Laura, Michael and Brian; one daughter, Teresa and husband Thomas; three grandsons, Joshua and fiancé, Brittany, Ryan and Derek as well as two great grandchildren, Aiden and Amaya.

Barbara married Sherwood in 1961 and was blessed with an extended family, Delana, Betty, Darlene, Doreda and husband James, Brenda, Martha and husband Ronnie, Thurman, Haven, Leroy, Eugene and Eddie all of VA.

Barbara was blessed with very dear friends in her lifetime, Ann, Maryann, Nancy and Darlene. Thank you for being a part of her life.

Barbara was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be missed greatly.

A Viewing will be Wednesday, July 15th from 6pm to 8pm. The Funeral Service will be Thursday, July 16th at 1pm. Both will be held at Chapel of Memories Funeral Home, 829 S. Hancock Ave. The Burial will follow the Service on July 16, 2015 at Evergreen Cemetery.
