Ben was married to the love of his life Mary Theresa. They have 4 sons, Luke, Grant, Dominic and Levi who were absolutely the center of Ben’s world.
Ben attended medical school at Temple University School of Medicine. Dr. Delano then completed his general surgery residency and his colon and rectal surgery fellowship at UT Houston. Dr. Delano moved to Colorado Springs in 2012 with his family. He has since worked at Penrose/St. Francis Hospital as a colon and rectal surgeon until his passing.
Ben is survived by his wife Mary Theresa, his sons Luke, Grant, Dominic and Levi, his brother Dr. Matthew J. Delano and his parents Rhonda Delano and Arthur M. Delano, Jr.
Ben’s vigil service will be held at St. Paul Catholic Church on Thursday December 16th at 7pm. His funeral mass will be held at St. Paul Catholic Church on Friday December 17th at 10am. St. Paul Catholic Church is located at 9 El Pomar Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80906.
The family requests donations be made to Penrose Hospital in lieu of flowers. They’d also like to thank all of his partners at CSSA and the staff at Penrose Hospital for their ongoing prayerful support.
