Dale was born September 3, 1934 in El Dorado, Oklahoma, the sixth of seven children. He spent his childhood in and around Hot Springs Arkansas. In 1949 his family moved to Denver Colorado, where he graduated from Englewood High School in 1952, and married his high school sweetheart, Betty Jo Traut, in 1956.
The family moved to the Black Forest in 1969, and soon thereafter Dale took a job with GE Johnson Construction Company, with whom he continued to work until his retirement in 1990. Dale oversaw the construction of many significant buildings in Colorado Springs, including the Broadmoor West Hotel; the El Paso County Jail; the HP, Digital Corporation., and Current Corporate Buildings; and significant portions of Penrose Hospital, including their early cancer wing. He also oversaw construction of the state's Maximum Security Prisons in Cañon City and Ordway.
Dale loved exploring the wild spaces of the West in his free time, and spent as much time as possible in the Colorado mountains, camping, hiking, and worrying trout. He also spent many hours enjoying his kids, grandkids, and extended family.
Dale is survived by Betty Mobley, his wife of fifty five years, one sister, Jonnie Mobley of Denver and a close cousin, Joe Bailey of Hot Spring, Arkansas; three children: Kenneth Mobley of the Black Forest, Lynnette Hoerner of Castle Rock, and Jeannette Mobley-Tanaka of Longmont; and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Daniel Mobley, of Black Forest.
