

Born Dallas Gordon Dickinson in Davison, Michigan on October 22, 1925, he was the 2nd son of Hilton and Ellen Dickinson. He served in the Navy during World War II and graduated from the Michigan State University forestry school. He married Joanne Dunham on March 3, 1951 and they moved to Saginaw, Michigan. Dallas was a lumber salesman and broker in the thumb and northern Michigan areas. Joanne and Dallas retired to Sun City West, Arizona in 1991. They moved to Colorado Springs in 2008.
He was an avid golfer and loved skiing, sailing, playing bridge and bird hunting. He was also an accomplished carpenter and built the beloved family cottage on Grand Traverse Bay in Elk Rapids, Michigan. His easy-going personality and sense of humor will be remembered affectionately by all. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Colorado Springs and Desert Palms Presbyterian Church in Sun City West.
Dallas is survived by his wife, Joanne Dickinson of Colorado Springs, his children Diane Rossin (Mark) of Colorado Springs, Karen Gamracy (Lawrence) of Kamloops, British Columbia and Douglas Dickinson (Katie) of Northridge, California; sister Sandy Goodfellow, Linden, Michigan; grandchildren Adam Rossin, Denver, Colorado, Jennifer Gamracy , Victoria, British Columbia and Nicolas Gamracy, Kamloops. He is predeceased by grandson Aaron Rossin (2009) and siblings David Dickinson and Donald Dickinson.
Memorial services will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 219 E. Bijou, Colorado Springs on March 25 at 2:00 p.m. Donations may be made to the Colorado Parkinson’s Foundation, Inc., 1155 Kelly Johnson Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80920.
