

Damian P. Depatie passed away on August 6, 2012 in Colorado Springs. He was 94. Damian was born April 22, 1918 in Saint Albans, Vermont to Charles E. and Ellen Shore Depatie. He graduated from Saint Mary’s High School in Saint Albans, and from the University of Detroit. He married Constance Wilkiewicz in New Haven, Connecticut on July 10, 1943, before deploying to the South Pacific in service to his country. After the war, he lived in Detroit, Michigan before moving to Colorado Springs in 1950, where he worked as a draftsman and building contractor until retirement in 1986. He was active in the lay ministry at Corpus Christi Church, the Corpus Christi Senior Group, and the Men’s Garden Club of Colorado Springs.
Damian is survived by three children: Ellen of Denver, Paul and wife Karen of Pueblo, and James of Colorado Springs, and one brother, Frank, of Kalamazoo, Michigan. He has two grandchildren, Jeff of Pueblo, and Matt and wife Trisha of Denver. He was preceded in death by his wife Connie, who passed away in 2004, and by his brother Charlie, and sister Madelyn.
Visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 7:00pm on Wednesday, August 15th, at Swan-Law Chapel, with a Rosary to follow at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am on Thursday, August 16th at Corpus Christi Church. A private burial will be at Memorial Gardens.
