

Born on October 29, 1950, in Colorado Springs to David Neely Jr. and Virginia Hill Neely, David was the first child in the family and grew up alongside his beloved sister, Tracy Offutt. A lifelong resident of Colorado Springs, David held a deep love for his hometown and the beautiful Colorado landscape that shaped so much of his life.
Growing up in Colorado Springs, David developed a passion for the outdoors and staying active. He loved golfing, skiing in the Colorado mountains, and working out at the gym on a regular basis. David embraced life with energy and enthusiasm.
David graduated from Cheyenne Mountain High School in 1968. David will be remembered for his kind heart, excitement for life, his love of food and considered himself a “Foodie”. He was always willing to share a smile and he loved his classical music along with Led Zeppelin.
He is survived by his sister, Tracy Offutt. He was preceded in death by his father, David Neely Jr., and his mother, Virginia Hill Neely.
Services will be held on Friday, February 27th, at 12:00 p.m. at Swan-Law Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Care and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado or Project COPE, as both organizations held a special place in David Michael’s heart.
David’s life was one marked by devotion to family, love of community, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of living. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
