Deanne Pate, “Deanie”, born in Pueblo Colorado, passed away on August 8, 2024. She lived most of her life in Colorado but for 7 years in Florida and a few months in New York. Deanie was born on November 20, 1963, and graduated from South High School in 1983. She was 60 years old.
Deanie was beloved by her family and friends as someone who could light up a room and keep everyone laughing continuously. She was known for her sales acumen in the business world but is remembered more fondly for her stand-up comedy in her 30s, throwing great parties, and her incredible flare for creating great food. She also loved music and talk radio. Never get her started talking politics and social justice because she could debate with the best of them.
She is survived by her daughter, Francesca Pate-Rinaldi, and her two sisters, Tracy Pate and Jaymi Chavez, in addition to her niece and nephews, and grand-nieces and-nephews. Deanie is also survived by her aunts, uncles, and many loving cousins.
In her later years, Deanie suffered from alcoholism and was unable to break free from the hold it had on her life. May Deanie now be free of the pain and rest at peace. She was deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
A celebration of her life will be held in the Spring 2025 with the location to be announced. At that time, her ashes will be buried in the mountains with the planting of a tree ( The Living Urn).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ASPCA to honor Deanie’s love of dogs.
