Deborah Jane Yee

Deborah Jane Kurylas Yee, 70, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026, in her home in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Deborah was born on August 13, 1955, in El Dorado, Arkansas, to Michael Kurylas and Eunice Kurylas (Rowland).

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 40 years, Sonny Yee; her daughter, Morgan Markewich; her son-in-law, Bob Markewich; and her two beautiful grandchildren, Frankie and Jules.

Deborah was a warrior. Despite chronic illness, she always had a smile on her face and a positive message to share. She listened to others as though there was no one else in the world. Deborah spoke up for animals, abused women and children, and all those who could not speak for themselves. She believed deeply in “family first,” a value reflected daily through her kindness, compassion, loyalty, creativity, humility, and unwavering dedication to those she loved.

We will miss you, Deborah. You were the best wife, mother, Ba Ba, and friend anyone could ever ask for. Your love, strength, and generosity will continue to guide and inspire everyone whose life you have touched. May peace, comfort, and protection be with you always. You are our angel. We love you to the moon and back.
