

In Loving memory of Debra Millhone who passed away on May 05, 2020 at the age 55 in Colorado Springs Colorado. Debra was born January 03, 1965 at St Francis hospital to Kurtis and Leona Johnson in Colorado Springs Colorado. She graduated from Wasson high in 1983.
Debra and Dwaine met at a pool league in 1986. Dwaine was asked to join the pool league because they were short a person and needed a new team member. Debra just so happen to be there as the was the girlfriend of one of the friends. About 6 months later they met at a party and Debra was single and from there, the big amazing adventure began.
They married in June 30, 1990 at United Methodist Church in downtown Colorado Springs. They bought a house in 1992 in southern Colorado Springs where they raised their two daughters Crystal and Julianna and granddaughter Sky.
Debra worked as a food service worker/cater and waitress for several years in her early age. Then started working for Memorial Hospital in 1992 for medical records and was there for 18 years. After taking some time off she started her own landscaping business.
Every family gathering or holiday was celebrated together with amazing decorations and home cooked meals that Debra made. Debra’s favorite thing to do was garden. She loved her flowers and loved doing yard work for others. She ran her own landscaping business for a few years doing yard work for any and everybody that needed.
She loved gardening anything and everything from flowers to fruits and veggies especially her strawberries and raspberries. She always wanted to make things beautiful. Her garden was filled with love and everywhere you looked there was always something amazing going on whether it was the front yard or backyard. From flowers and veggies to cool nick knacks and hanging wind spinners.
Debra loved camping and would go every weekend if she could. She enjoyed fishing even if she didn’t catch anything and her campfires were her favorite thing! She could sit outside and burn a fire for hours.
Debra was an animal lover that had a very special place in her heart for creatures. She was considered a cat lady and loved to feed, play, and take care her own cats and the lovely neighborhood cats that always visited. She always treated her pets with so much love and kindness and would love to interact and welcome as many animals as she could.
Her interest/ hobby includes snowmobiling, jet skiing, playing darts, going on vacation, being a member of the International order of rainbow girls and Order of the Eastern Star.
Debra was a part of the International order of the rainbow for Girls for several years. She involved both her daughters and was even the mother advisor for a few years.
She was a part of the Order of Eastern Star and was always involved in meetings and events. She enjoyed doing fundraisers, being a part of all activities, from signing up to bring meals for events, to attending all activities and being as involved as possible.
She was "Mom Millhone" or "Mrs. Debbie" to so many amazing individuals. Her kind soul and generous personality brought so much happiness to so many people’s lives.
She was always a go out her way rock star mom. She attended all important life events like band concerts & marching band competitions, award ceremonies, sports events, and any special event she was asked to attend.
She volunteered for any fundraiser to raise money for band events, to rainbow events, Girl Scout activities and anything that would benefit her children & grandchildren's life to make them successful in the future.
Debra was a harder worker that always wanted to keep herself busy. There was never a dull moment with her. She was always someone you could joke around with or have shoulder to cry on.
She loved being a mother, a grandmother and a great grandmother and wanted to spend as much time as possible with family. She had goals she went above and beyond to achieve them and helped others achieve their goals.
Debra is survived by her mother; Leona, brother; Frank, husband; Dwaine, daughters; Crystal & Julianna, granddaughter; Sky, grandson; Charles and great grandson; Kayden.
