Debra Kay Reese

Iowa, daughter to Richard and Dorothy Gilson. She was raised on a farm in Winthrop, Iowa where she attended East Buchanan School graduating in the class of 1973. While in school she participated in the 4-H club as well as basketball until a knee injury took place. After graduation she enrolled in the University of Northern Iowa where she completed two years of college before deciding to move to Colorado Springs, Colorado. She started a career with the City of Colorado Springs where she committed 27 years of service. While living in Colorado Springs she met Charles Reese and they married on September 4, 1988. She enjoyed crafting and quilting, activities with family and friends, pampering, and gardening.

At age 58, Debra entered eternal rest on May 19, 2013.

Preceding her in death was her father, Richard Gilson and sister, Kathie Gilson.

Debra leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Charles Reese; daughters, Kelsey and Charla Reese; mother, Dorothy Gilson; brothers, Larry (Carol) Gilson and Marty (Myral) Gilson; grandchildren, Rajon Reese and Davona Smithson as well as a host of family, friends, and loved ones.

A Visitation will be held Thursday, May 23, 2013 from 5-7pm with the Funeral Service on Friday, May 24, 2013 at 11:00am. The Burial will follow. All will be held at Memorial Gardens Cemetery and Funeral Home, 3825 Airport Road.
