Donald Ray Moses

Donald Ray Moses, born to Donald Moses and Phyllis in Wyoming, lived a life rich with experiences and connections. His journey took him from Columbine High School, Littleton, CO to various cities, guided by his employment with Safeway. Ultimately, he settled in Colorado Springs, CO where he eventually retired and assisted his father in managing a local business.

Don leaves behind cherished memories and loved ones: His father, Donald; his sister, Julie; Nephews: Travis Smith (Marlana) and Austin Smith and cherished extended family. He reunites with his mother, Phyllis Moses, and siblings Phyllis “Lee” and Jefrey. In the embrace of eternity, he joins his grandparents, Chester (Esther) Jackson and Harold (Lillian) Moses, along with other beloved relatives and friends who preceded him.

Don was an adventurer. He reveled in the excitement of “Friday Night Smack Down” and the everyday charm of “The Price is Right.” His spirit led him to try new things, and if they worked out, he embraced them wholeheartedly. Whether riding his beloved Harley, hitting the slopes as a skier, or exploring new vacation spots, Don approached life with enthusiasm.

But it was his kind heart that truly defined him. Don reached out to everyone, leaving a positive impact wherever he went. His wit, often delightfully unexpected, and his “slightly off” sense of humor endeared him to friends and family alike.

As we gather to celebrate Don’s life, let us share our special memories, laughter, and tears. In lieu of flowers, consider honoring Don’s memory by supporting organizations dedicated to mental health and preventing domestic violence or child trafficking.

Thank you, Don, for your kindness, your zest for life, and the love you shared. You remain in our hearts, missed by many, and forever remembered.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday May 29th, 2024 from 11-1pm at Swan Law Funeral Directors located at 501 N Cascade Ave Colorado Springs Co 80903

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday May 29th, 2024 at 1:30pm at Crystal Valley Cemetery located at 502 Plainview Place in Manitou Springs Co 80829
