She passed away September 22, 2013 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Dorothy attended Madame Walker’s Beautician School. She worked as a Beautician, Cater also a professional singer.
She sang with Norris Stoke Singers. As a member of Norris Stoke Singers, Dorothy traveled the US and Canada,
she performed before the Queen Mother in Canada. She also performed with Billy Graham.
Dorothy is survived by son, Lloyd Mathews, Jr., grandchildren, Chanelle S. Mathews, Lloyd W. Mathews III,
Monique Mathews, Monica Mathews, Claudia Smith, Lydia Smith, Vincent (Olivia) Smith,
12 great-grandchildren, and a host of great-great-grandchildren.
