Earl was born on January 7, 1930, in Mammoth Springs, Arkansas, to Robert and Sarah Evans. Earl was the third of seven children. Growing up in the Ozark Mountains is where he learned to love the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting.
Earl spent most of his working life with a local vending company where he met and befriended many people over the years. Later he began his own small vending business that he called the ENE Music Company. Along with the later years of work, he was employed by El Paso County Department of Safety, specifically the Sign Shop. He married his first wife, Kathryn Dunmire, in 1950. She was the mother of his first children, Jack and Julianne Evans, both residents of Colorado Springs. In 1974 he married Neftal Katt Fitzgerald, who was the mother of Jamie Johnson of California.
Earl is survived by his children, Jack and Julianne Evans, Jamie Johnson, two stepchildren, Stacy Hartley of Michigan and Lenny Ayers of Colorado Springs, Colorado and his sister, Mattie Lou Markhart of Mountain Home, Arkansas.
