Edee P. Gordon, 101, passed away at home in Florissant, Colorado on August 9, 2010. She was born July 17, 1909 in LeRoy, Kansas to John E. and Frances Rebecca (Gose) Price, who preceded her in death. She also had one brother, Frank Price and one sister, Opal DeFlon, who preceded her.
Edee was married to Floyd C. Gordon in 1931 in California. They were married for 60 years at the time of his passing in 1991.
Edee was a nurse and homemaker. She dearly loved the mountains. Among her greatest enjoyments were music especially playing the organ, knitting, traveling, painting landscapes and animals, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Leland (JoAnn) Gordon and Ronald (Sue) Gordon; seven grandchildren, Sharon, Shelly, Scott, Karen, Karl, Keith and Shawna; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one niece, Sandra Watson.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Swan Law Cascade Chapel, 501 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
