Elden James Peterson

Elden was a truly selfless man with the purest heart and soul and cared deeply about others. He always expressed endless love for those around him. A family man through and through who drives to make everyone around him as happy as possible and was known for always cracking jokes and being the life of the party. He was a lover, outgoing, an adventurer, an explorer and a pioneer in his industry.

The amount of love inside of him for his family and friends was infinite. He was a wonderful husband, providing years of joy for Anh while they explored the world together. He always talked of how proud of his children he was, and his eyes lit up when he looked at his grandchildren.

Elden was a man who believed that anything could be done. No matter how difficult the task, he took on the challenge often times just to prove that he could. His work proved just that with how efficient and ingenuitive his designs were, allowing him to build the best Helium Neon laser power supplies in the world. He built a highly successful company from the ground up in the 80’s that is still thriving today.

Elden loved exploring and pushing himself to the limits. Off roading in new and wonderful places made his heart happy as well as trekking up to the mountains with his family to shoot guns. He loved the beauty that the world had to offer. His photos of high mountain flowers expressed the joy and curiosity inside of him and will be treasured by his family. When with his grandchildren, he most enjoyed swinging along side them and playing on the monkey bars as the kid inside him always came out even at 80 years old.

Elden was most happy in an airplane. He absolutely enjoyed sharing his love with airplanes and became a flight instructor, leading countless people into the aviation industry. The awe and wonder of flying through the air in an airplane never left him. Up until he got too sick to fly this year, he exercised his ability to fly regularly in his Cessna 150. Every time he took someone else up with him, he would teach and inspire in hopes of simply bringing a smile to their faces and creating a lasting memory of pure joy.

Elden is someone his friends and family always looked up to and was the true definition of a role model, leaving a massive impact and legacy for decades to come. He is missed by all and loved so dearly.

In lieu of flowers, Elden would have preferred donations go to the Red Cross to help provide for those in crisis.
