

She is survived by her husband of sixty two years of marriage Joaquin Lopez-Flores; seven children, Joaquin, Helen, Gladys, Migdalia, Wilfredo, Carlos, and Timothy; three siblings, Eloisa, Rosita, and Bienbenido; fourteen grandchildren, Gabriel, Maximillian, Joaquin, Yezenia, Orquidia, Luz, Ricardo, Deloraida, Reese, Grace, Calia, Caden, Bishop, and Damian; and seven great-grand children, Justin, Solena, Analayah, Josiah, Sienna, Maleyah, and Malachi.
Elena was born on December 25, 1929 in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico to Eliseo Rodriguez-Sierra and Rosa Gomez-Aponte. She is preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Lazaro Gonzalo, Artemio, Elisa, and Nilda; and her grandchildren Janelle and Elena.
Elena was a faithful, affectionate, and, deeply religious individual who loved her family, God, and nature with all her heart. She had compassion for every person and every creature she ever met, and taught her family so much about sacrifice, forgiveness, and unconditional love. She was passionate about sharing her faith and adoration in God and family with all who knew her and was active in the lives of her family through a lifelong mission of love and support.
A public viewing is scheduled for Monday, May 18, 2015 at 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM with a Catholic rosary being led at 5:00 PM. A funeral is scheduled for 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 19, 2015. Both the public viewing and funeral will be held at Memorial Gardens in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Deacon Albert Kimminau will officiate the ceremonies.
