Elijah Blake Arnholt, 18, of Monument, Colorado met Jesus face to face on March 19, 2025 after a courageously fought battle with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. He was born on August 11, 2006 in San Antonio, Texas to Jonathan "Luke" and Kimberly Arnholt. He lived life with immense strength and positivity, never complaining about his condition, and lived each day with a brilliant smile and a twinkle in his eye. One of his favorite songs was “It’s a great day to be alive” by Travis Tritt and that’s how he lived his life. He was kind to everyone, never said anything negative about anyone. He was a great listener and understood and loved people exceptionally well. He had a fantastic sense of humor and his ability to smile and laugh even during tough times was exceptional; he always had a hilarious one liner to throw back at you. His wit was uncanny. And he never grew too old to hold anyone’s hand.
He was an avid Star Wars and Marvel fan. He loved rewatching any Star Wars or Marvel movie or TV show; The Empire Strikes Back, Iron Man, Spiderman and The Mandalorian were his favorites. He loved playing video games with his family, but Halo Infinite was his favorite. He also loved spending time with his service dog Thor, driving his modified van, and at the lake with family every summer: tubing, kayaking, fishing and swimming.
He graduated a semester early from Palmer Ridge High School in December of 2024 and was very involved in their PR TV program and DECA team (he was a state finalist in 2024). He had been accepted early admission to Colorado Christian University and planned on majoring in Communications and Business Management.
He is survived by: his parents J. Luke and Kimberly Arnholt, who love and miss him immeasurably; brother Noah and sister Ellianna, grandparents D. Jeffrey and Sharon Dietrich, Great Uncle and Aunt (Grunkle and Nana Pat) Kevin and Patricia Cook; Josh and Bethany (Aunt) Connell and their children: Ava, Jonah, and Tessa; Jordan (Uncle) and Susanna Dietrich and their children: Theo and Hattie, Mark (Uncle) and Mary Arnholt and their children: Nolan, Payton, and Austin, and Alan (Uncle) and Susie Arnholt and their children: Alayna and Aria; along with abundant family and friends who deeply love and miss him. He is predeceased by his Paternal Grandparents Terry and Loretta Arnholt.
He lived life courageously, full of faith, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, & self control. He won his race, is healed and with Jesus for eternity. This is the way.
Elijah’s Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 4:00pm at New Life Church (in The Tent), 11025 Voyager Parkway, Colorado Springs, CO 80921. All that want to celebrate Elijah’s life are welcome.
