Emily Elizabeth Hansen

Emily was born on December 23rd, 1982 to Willa Jean and John David Hansen in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She passed away at home on December 25, 2018, following a prolonged illness. Emily loved to learn. She was particularly fond of science. She took classes at Pikes Peak Community College and later earned a scholarship to study microbiology at Colorado State University. Emily had an amazing sense of humor and used humor to cope with the challenges of life.

She loved animals and was a Dog Mom to Peanut, Eve, and Dash.

Emily was a loyal friend, and her friends loved her in return.

Emily is preceded in death by her father, John Hansen. She is survived by her mother, Willa Hansen, brothers Carl and Nathanael Hansen, sister, Allison (Hansen) Howe, and nine beloved nieces and nephews.
