Most of Buddy's adult life he lived independently in Denver. It was nothing to see him racing across the street heading to the mall or to the grocery store in his wheelchair not observing any traffic signs.
He enjoyed the times talking with his close cousins and siblings and other families. He loved being able to talk trash. Buddy never let his disability get in the way of doing things he wanted to do. Buddye spent the last few years in a nursing home trying to recover from Myasthenia Gravis and Guillain-Barre with the hopes of returning to his independent lifestyle.
Buddy was met at the pearly gates by Jesus, his father Ernest Butts Jr, his sister Veverly Patrice Butts, his favorite aunt Alma Louise shepherd, Favorite Uncle John shepherd, grandmother's grandfather's, Niece Natoya Sardea Billips and many Uncles aunts and cousins and friends. Buddye will be missed by all that knew him. Left to cherish his memories is his mother Lena LaWalker (Michael Walker), Sister Jacqueline LaWalker, brother Ernest Junior Billips, Nephew Seth LaWalker -Bosie, Ernest Jermaine Billips, Terrance Termaine Billips, niece Natasha Nicole Billups, uncle Joe Willie Butts. Along with nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Upon entering heaven Jesus told him welcome my good and faithful servant. His family welcomed him and said your pain and spasm are gone. You now have the activities of your limbs. He looked back at his nephew before he transited and said as you walk across that graduation stage I will be walking with you. To my family and friends promise to keep in touch and use this time to remember me with joy and laughter.
