Flora DeChant Richmeier Santistevan

DeChant was born on September 22, 1938 in Hays, Kansas. She passed away peacefully on

January 15, 2017 in Peoria, Arizona at the age of 78.

Flora relocated to Colorado Springs from Kansas in 1972 with her husband, Jim and their two

sons. She remained in Colorado until she retired to Sun City, Arizona. In her later years Flora

was married to Carlos Santistevan. They enjoyed traveling in their 5th wheel and resided in Sun

City, Arizona.

Flora was a homemaker and retired from Mountain Bell Telephone Company after 20+ years of

dedicated service.

Survivors include two sons, Darrell J. (Cindy) Richmeier, Colorado Springs, Colorado; Duane

(Arlene) Richmeier, Peoria, Arizona; grandchildren, Rachael Richmeier, Denver, Colorado, Troy

(Rachel) Richmeier, Alliance, Nebraska; David Dudley, Colorado Springs, Colorado; Donald

(Tracey & Tristan) Dudley, Colorado Springs, Colorado; Jennifer (Martin, Sterling, & Ashley)

Dudley, Laguna Beach, California; one brother, Jady (Barbara "Bobbie" & their children,

Joshua, Sarah & Emily) DeChant, Thornton, Colorado; and a host of extended family and friends.

Hobbies, activities and interests that Flora enjoyed included being a Red Hat Society member,

traveling, playing cards especially Pinochle, sewing, knitting, crocheting and cooking for her family

and friends.
