Florence Elizabeth (Klaus) Harder was born in Pueblo, Colorado on July 12, 1919 to parents Adolf and Mina (Scott) Klaus. She grew up on a truck farm and attended school in Avondale, Colorado. She went on to complete secretary school after she graduated from Centennial High School on June 3, 1937.
During World War II, she held positions within the Treasury Department in Washington D.C. then in Chicago. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Veterans Motor Car Club of America. She loved to garden, travel, and collect antiques. Florence married Herman F. Harder on April 16, 1944, to whom she remained devoted until his passing.
She is survived by her son Gary Harder, grandson, Scott Harder, and two great grandchildren, Joshua and Elizabeth Harder. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Herman Gregory Harder.
She will be remembered for her generosity and caring nature.
Services will be held at Memorial Gardens Chapel at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, April 26, 2012.
