

Francisco “Frank” Mafnas Camacho, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, July 22nd, 2025, at UCHealth Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado, surrounded by friends and family. He was born in Guam on November 16, 1946, and served 26 years in the U.S. Army, including two tours in Vietnam. He was awarded the Purple Heart for his service. While stationed in Germany, he met his late wife, Maria Camacho.
Those who knew Frank describe him as a sweet and silly jokester with a big heart. He cherished his family and his relationships within the local Guamanian community in Colorado Springs. In his later years, he found joy and companionship with Connie Rivera, whose presence brought warmth and care to his life.
Frank is survived by his two sons, Frank M. Camacho and Sean D. G. Camacho; his daughters-in-law, Mary Grace Camacho and Jessica Camacho; his two grandsons, Joshua and Elijah Camacho; several siblings; and many extended family members.
Funeral services will be held at St. Paul Catholic Church in Colorado Springs, CO, at 9:30 a.m. on August 14, 2025, followed by burial at Memorial Gardens Cemetery and a reception back at St. Paul’s Church.
