Gary L. Hammann

Gary was born in Carlinville, IL to Carl and Norma Hammann on January 08, 1950. He went to Carlinville High School and joined the Army at age 19 and served in Vietnam. He married his wife, Darlene, on June 27, 1982, in Las Vegas, NV.

Gary is preceded in death by his brothers, Bob and Kenny, and his parents.

Gary is survived by his wife, sons, Derek (Crystal) of Knoxville, TN, Brandon (Waine’e) of Waipahu, HI, daughters, Kailene Thomas (Grayson) of Colorado Springs, CO and Tiana LaForge (Tyler) of Peyton, CO, brothers, Glenn Hammann (Wanda) of Carlinville, IL and Kevin Hammann (Julie) of Chicago, IL, seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

A visitation for Gary will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Memorial Gardens Cemetery & Funeral Home, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80910.

Celebration of Life will occur Wednesday, February 19, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80910.

Burial with military honors will occur Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Pikes Peak National Cemetery, 10545 Drennan Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80925.
