

Harold Chester Dyck of Colorado Springs died August 25, 2011. Harold was born September 10, 1925 in Hillsboro, Kansas to Elizabeth and Peter Dyck. He was the second youngest child with five sisters and one brother, all of whom preceded him in death. He graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1943 and joined the U. S. Marine Corps, where he served in the South Pacific during WWII until his discharge in 1946. He worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. in Wichita, Kansas from 1946 until retiring in 1983. Harold married Margaret Ellen Phillips Patterson in 1957. They were long time residents of Wichita until moving to Colorado Springs in 2002.
He is preceded in death by his wife and by great-great grand child, Lucy Criss. He is survived by two daughters, Jo Ellen Hartley (Steve), grandsons Chris (Missy) and Mark (Christie) and their families of the Dallas area; and daughter Lu Anne Love (Skip), grandsons Andy Burwell (Allison) and Matt Love (Kristen) and their families all of Colorado Springs; and great-grand children Ashlyn & Todd Hartley, Katelyn & Michael Hildago, Logan & Trevor Burwell, and Tyler Love.
Services will be held September 10, 2011 at 10 a.m., Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, Wichita, Kansas.
