Jimmy McLaughlin died suddenly on February 27 at the age of 54. Jimmy is survived by his wife Anna McLaughlin; he was her beloved husband, partner, and best friend. He was preceded in death by his father, James F McLaughlin. He is also survived by his mother Estelle, his brother John, His sisters Diane, Denise, Dawn, Donna, and his children Jimmy and Megan. He survives also through his Grandchildren Joshua, Milo, Willow, and many nieces and nephews.
Jimmy “JimmyMac” gave 22 years of service to the US Army. He Retired in 2005 at the rank of CW3 and often looked back on many good memories of time spent with the members of his team.
After retiring from his military service, he chose to pursue a career in nursing. He graduated with honors from UCCS in 2008 and began a career at Evans Army Community Hospital. He found his work there, and later his work at the WTB, rewarding and he cherished the relationships he developed with his co-workers.
He will be remembered for his sense of humor, love of music and his generous spirit. He touched so very many in a positive way. He will be greatly missed.
Visitation is on Saturday, March 7, 2015 from 1-5pm at Swan Law Funeral Directors.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
