Jean Stout

Jean R. Stout, 95, died Feb. 13, 2013, in Colorado Springs, CO. She was a 3rd grade teacher at Taft School in Joliet, Ill for many years prior to her retirement and later move to Colorado in 1993. She was married to Leland W. Stout for 53 years prior to his passing in 1997.

She had been lovingly cared for at the St Francis Nursing Center in Colorado Springs for the past 5 years, in very close proximity to her family.

Mrs. Stout was born on August 26, 1917 to Ernest and Belle Rollinson of Joliet, Ill.

She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Bill, Brian and Tina (Jones) Stout, all of Colorado Springs; and two grandchildren, Eric Stout of Superior, CO, and Jeannine Anderson of Aurora, CO.

Mrs. Stout graduated from Joliet Township High School, Joliet Junior College and the College of St Francis with her degree in Education. She was very active with the First Baptist Church in Joliet all of her life prior to moving to Colorado. She also was an active member in DAR and Delta Kappa Gamma.
