Jeffrey Douglas Garl

Jeffrey D. Garl, beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully on February 21, 2015 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born in Shaker Heights, Ohio, February 9, 1951, the first of two children, born to Floyd and Marjorie Garl.

After graduation from Wasson High School in Colorado Springs, Jeff graduated from University of Colorado in Boulder, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. Jeff’s life and career as a Chief Financial Officer in the technology industry allowed he and his family to live in Texas, Colorado, and the Pacific Northwest. Later in his career, Jeff pursued an MBA degree from Regis University.

Family and friends were extremely important to Jeff. His passions included golf, restoring his two Corvettes, yard work and gardening, family vacations with his wife and son, and football. Jeff always believed his greatest achievement was his son, Matthew.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Brenda, loving son Matthew and his wife Sydney Garl of Portland, Oregon and precious granddaughter Mia. He is also survived by his sister Sandra Parisi of Denver, Colorado, and their mother Marjorie Greenleaf of Colorado Springs.

A memorial service and following reception will take place Friday, February 27, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Woodmen Valley Chapel, 290 E. Woodmen Valley Rd., Colorado Springs, CO.
