Joella J. Tromble “Jo”, 87 of Colorado Springs passed away July 7th, 2018. She was born April 26, 1931 in Emmett, Idaho and was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, William W. Tromble on December 23, 2017. Jo had a career in academics with two masters degrees earned and taught a broad spectrum of students from Kindergarten in the public schools to Master’s level courses for university programs.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Illinois Teachers Association and the Assoc. of University Women.
Jo was very talented in musical performance with a beautiful voice and the ability to play a variety of instruments, but also the visual arts focused primarily on painting and sculpture. This paired well with her love of the outdoors and the joy she found in landscaping the family homes.
Able to relate to anyone she met, Jo was known to be an extremely caring and compassionate. She was also fiercely loyal to family and friends alike.
She is survived by her children William W. (Sussy) Tromble II (CO), Gina G. Gayford (NY), L. Lynne Tromble (TX); grandchildren Cameron Gayford, Angelina Tromble and Nicole Tromble; siblings W.L. (Lester) Boone, Aloma (Boone) Whittenberg, R.G. Boone, Daniel Boone and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A reception will be held at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church (2111 Carlton Ave.) on Friday, July 20th at 2PM.
