Jody was born to John and Shirley Lazor on November 21, 1959 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He departed this life on July 26, 2017. Jody was a lifelong Colorado resident, and a graduate of Falcon High School.
Jody had almost thirty years of experience in heavy equipment operation and supervision of all types of dirt work, utilities, and paving projects. He began working for his dad at J & T Equipment. He then went on to work for several local contractors before finding a home as a Job Superintendent with Tezak Heavy Equipment Co. for the past 13 years. He was a member of the El Paso County Contractors Association.
Jody was an accomplished horseman. He was a member of the El Paso County High School Rodeo Team, competing in saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, and team roping. Jody then went on to be a member of the CPRA, PRCA, USTRC, and the WSTR competing in team roping. He also enjoyed competing in local ranch rodeos.
Jody was happily married to his wife Jody (Knight) for the last 20 years.

Jody is survived by his wife Jody; his sons, Cayle (Tessa) and Cameron; his mother, Shirley; his sister, Kris (Joe) Daly; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
